What a model !
One of the best card models I've ever seen! Another reason for looking forward to Bremerhaven, Cris.
An another good reason to drink a launching-beer together...

Hello Cris!
Congratulations on this stunning model! A real trawler!!

Hi Cris,
once again I'm deeply impressed! Looking forward to see this superb model (and all others, of course) in BHV.
Kind regards

Hi Cris
Congratulations on this stunning model

Congratulations Chris!
You demonstrated how to make a silk purse from a sow's ear. (Maybe not quite a sow's ear but a somewhat plain kit.)
I especially like your weathering. It is so typical for the ships from the GDR.
Thank you for a great construction report.Bernhard

Hi , Chris!
Congratulations for another truely inspiring masterpiece of modeling! In fact, I start considering, how some of my tiny boats would look like in Your hands and find myself wishing to add details, that I didn´t even see before. Thank You very much for sharingYour creations with us! BUT, my friend - You are not ready yet (though the model might well be...) !!!... pastels that I shave with my knife and apply with a brush. I will be back with better pictures soon that show how to do it...
So! You promised us to show how You do Your weathering, and as I can not come to Bremerhaven and don´t want to wait for life-lessons in Leipzig in October (though I promise to attend...), I do demand another construction report with as many outstanding details. And remember, - it must be dirty ! -
Hello Friends,
As always I am deeply appreciative and humbled by your kind words and enthusiastic praise! Thank you so very much! We are leaving in just a few minutes for BHV. We both are so very excited about seeing all of you again...we can hardly wait!
Helmut: Yes indeed! Let the first round be on me! Also, we have set aside an entire memory card just for the TITANIC
Heiner: Getting old is VERY hard. I had completely forgotten about that. I will post pictures when we return from our holidays. And I am much looking forward to October!
Thank you all again for your interest and friendship!

Hi Cris,
this is a wonderfull model - I'm so far away from your quality - but never mind, I'm still learning
Regards
Riklef -
Hi Chris!
Never mind about this ... this ... em, thing (what was it?), when getting old. You´ll forget about that one, too, so why bother? Besides, my great-uncle ("Great uncle"would have suited as well) married once more, when 84 years old, so I expect we´ll still have our moments in later days, it shouldn´t be that bad...To You a great trip; I´ll raise my glass tonight to all of You in Bremerhaven!

Hallo Chris,
Best regards Ingo

Hello Friends,
Gentlemen, thank you so much for your praise and encouragement! Although, I am hardly worthy.
@wilfried: It is so very nice to see you on these forums again. I have been watching the development of your class 320 with great interest. I do in fact have some questions regarding the Atlantik 464. I greatly appreciate your kind offer and will cheerfully take anything you care to send me. I very much enjoy researching and browsing historical documents
But, if it is not convenient or possible to send the documents, could you check on these:
1)The few picture I have been able to find of the BRUNO APITZ show what appears to be an additional deckhouse or enclosure aft of the stacks. Can you shed any light on this?
2) Any details you could provide regarding the bridge mast, radars, and especially the two yard arms (In some photos, I can see signals flying) would be greatly appreciated.
3) Any details about the rigging of the mast atop the aft most derrick (there appear to be aerials?) and especially the rigging aloft between the bridge mast and the after derrick.
4) Lastly, can you tell what year the current paint scheme was applied?
Wilfried, I can not thank you enough for your interest. Did you design this vessel? MDK does not credit the designer on the sheet.
Thank you again Wilfried and Helmut.
Kind Regards,
Cris
