Thanks Wisa for explanation.
Hello Kartonists, 1st wheel is finally finished! You can see on 2pictures from outer and inner side of the truck /inner side - detail - on drive-bar there is bunch of dry grass made of hemp roap.
This week will make the second wheel /hopefully/ and will share with you how to proceed the low-air-level in the wheel.
BTW - have asked Marcin Kudelski for designing "thiangle lamp" for my version of KrAZ and here you all can download and use as reference picture showing on:
http://www.renova-model.com.pl/index.php?f=modele
- hit section"Pobierz dodatki" /there are as well DDR truck numbers/
Step by step - how to make a wheel
-step1 - the most important - to cut the piece off the wheel support /how much to be cutted off - depends how much air you want to miss in your wheel :)/
Very nice. Are you building a wreck?
Radek
Thanks Radek, most likely you are right - this will be a wreck, but not total. Seems that this KrAZ /picture taken from Tanxheaven.com/ is out of active service at CS Army - no truck numbers and A4 format sheet on driver´s window makes me thinking that truck would be sold out from Army.
Honestly do not know more about it - since was not in the Army because of Blue Effect /you know what I mean - and for the others: Blue Effect is brand for young men who were not in Army because of any reason and got Blue Book as a declaration of it/
You got the eye for details Oto!!
The Kraz is turning out to be a masterpiece!!
One note:
(sorry, it was discussed, but still...)
If you are building a wreck (or an old card at least), the tires should look used - I mean, that your first wheel has full depth of tire engraving, while on photos we can see discarded tires...
Radek
fantastic !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There are no differences between original and model. Incredible.
Best wishes frrom
Hansi
Dear Bernie,
Your all models are superb. I agree with hansi, that there's no difference. I just know, that this is model, and not a real vehicle, because you said it
Amazing work! =D> =D> =D>
Good luck!

KLASSE
Hello Kartonists, thank You all for very nice words.
Radek: Your ctirique is correct and just the same as Wisa did. The patterns of tires looking still too high /not used enough/
I had some troubles when grinding these /allthought each pattern glue coated/ that the card-thick 1,5 mm peels off
This time I am collecting experience about laser cutted parts and on next model it will be OK - I swear!
Hope that because of this mistake you won´t stop to watch my build - story :]
Hello Kartonists, I am back with 1st part step-by-step wheel performance including low-air-level.
Once more I will add first step to have all in one answer
Step1 - Cut off the piece of support wheel part to have effect of low-air.
Step2 - Continue in build as with standard version - NO DIFFERENCE
Step3 - Outer side of wheel-side has to be grinded little bit to fit on support wheel
Step4 - Very important - to have bottom side absolutely flat!!!
Step5 - Looks like JO-JO toy, but this is still wheel of KrAZ with glued inner disc on just one side
to be continued....
...and this is glued wheel.
You can see that this is DIRTY job, since all has to be glue coated for further grinding - will follow today evening and next step to be done will be GRINDING and Cinderella´s job to set the patterns on wheel.
Hello Kartonists, as promissed the wheel is:
-grinded with sand paper /see the detail of wheel construction where is visible that bottom side is wheel wider/
-have prepared mid patterns 40pcs /this is not original amount to be glued since the low air level makes the thread circumference shorter little bit.
Next step is to define the left-right directions of patterns - today evening will continue /in better case/ to set all the remaining to prepare wheel for another grinding.
...and if your eyes are tired of tires already - tak a relax with picture of sunrise sky in Slavkov /Austerlitz/ today morning
Hello Kartonists, the patterns of the wheel nr2 for my KrAZ are settled, grinded and wheel is painted with first-basic-coat /still visible glossy areas which is too liquid aquarel colour - therefore had to coat all the patterns and wheel with glue - otherwise could be un-glued or de-formed/
Wish you nice weekend /hopefully full of cardmodel cut-offs :)/ and I will try to finish the wheel in order to set in on front axle - which means:
- to make disc incl paint, patina paint, patina dust
- to patina paint wheel, patina dust and to set
Well, I see that will be busy over the weekend
Hello Kartonists, as wrote last week - wanted to make over the weekend the front axle complete. This was done, but before will add a picture of finished front axle, will finish step - by - step wheel build:
step15 - wheel is completely glued
step16 - wheel is completely painted and dry brushed with white aquarel colour - very low density
step17 - wheel is dusted with chalk dust /mostly white chalk to make the paint lighter. Inside the dist was applied the dusting with the brush which previous day used for brown painting - now brush dry with brown dust on it
Front axle finished - enjoy picture
:usenglish:
oh my... i'd like to say something, but there's nothing i can say.

Thanks Pawell, will help you to find words to comment:
Looks like tail of "Ugly Duck", but here ugly duck did not grow up in to the beauty swan, but to "used tire"- well this is "bauberichte" - not idilic fairy tale
=)
Hello Kartonists, some parts of front axles have been done, some painted already, some /suspensions/ not yet - will paint them when axles will be glued on it.
This is interesting picture in respect of clearly visible how chalk dusting disappears when touched /for works on front axle I used to touch this part of frame. Honestly do not know how will manipulate now - may be Ab-ra-ka-da-bra magic words will help me :)/
Hello Kartonists, afte all the work on beside project Score Update - diorama
I am back with finished first rear axle of KrAZ. Over the ongoing weekend want to make second rear axle and to glue them on suspensions and install on frame /because of different air level in each wheel/.
NO Stabilizators will be asseblied untill all 4wheels of rear axles will be on.
Cinderella - where are you?? I will need your help again.
Hello Kartonists, over the weekend did 2nd rear axle and complete set of rear axles was mounted on frame. Still to be some small details and bars gifing power from distribution box /will be work for this week/, but did wheelmasters for final position of KrAZ.
Here is well visible different air-level in each wheel and that the truck looks with very used suspensions /rear side lower than frontside - difference 9mm/
[Blocked Image: http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/1349/totalview5qz.jpg]
to be compared with original - do I see correctly?

Hallo Bernie,
@)
Andreas, thanks for your compliment.
With colleagues like Cinderella it is easy job
BACK AT WORK

Hello Kartonists, here is comparison of front axle wheen and 1st rear axle wheel to appoint different air levels in each wheel
[Blocked Image: http://img234.imageshack.us/img234/9096/img00746tw.jpg]
and here is the lowest wheel pre-mounted on axle with the second wheel to show the axles layout
[Blocked Image: http://img234.imageshack.us/img234/231/img00793nv.jpg]
Hopefully ongoing weekend will be good time fo make these rear wheels complete to shoot a picture of complete "frame on wheels" from right side
Hello Kartonists, over the weekend I have finished only 1wheel /the second is most likely finished, but still to be done something/
On this wheel you can see - old mud /coffee trick and oak leaves from a spill actually dried out/ and hand written white cross on wheel with positions 1,2,3,4 -chalk written - for turning wheel for 90degree when the truck is out of order for longer time to save tires - actually this rule is not followed anymore.

and detail for FIBA mode product oak leaves - dry /laser cutted elements/

:usenglish: Hi, it looks like real!!
Thanks for comment /now have to be carefull to find the mud on wheel nr2 in logic that comes from one source/
Hi, Bernie!
That looks really mad. The idea with the leafs is ingenious. Can you borrow Cinderella to me, in order to build some track links?
Kindly regards
Josef
I'm kinda out of words here....but it looks great
What kind of coffee do you use Oto?
I beleave the coffee trick would look great in the wheelwells of my GPA.....
Hi Johnny, it is not big deal if you use Arabica or cheaper solutions but for sure make yourself a coffee cup first and then make dry the coffee "sand" from your cup or coffee machine
2 Josef:
Do not find it good idea since could be understood as "white - meat - deal !!!"
but for sure can not release her untill 6th wheel finished /for spare wheel do not need her anymore/
Thanks to both of you for your comments.
just FYI:
Cinderella is not the only victim - Bernie is a MASSIVE scale slave-driver. that's how he manages all the modelling.
Hello Kartonist, the right side of the truck-frame is finished already. Here you can see different air-levels in tires easily - enjoy picture.

Bernie,
really massive work! This is the best built model I've ever seen!!
Chris
Hallo Bernie,
Hello Kartonist, after a long, long time I have made again "somethin´" related to KrAZ.
Model-pad is most likely finished - still to be added a lot of grass, but basic layout of concretepanel is fine with me.
[Blocked Image: http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/6804/img00225cl.jpg]
and here is detail of small "oak tree"
[Blocked Image: http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/4009/img00297cs.jpg]
Dear Bernie,
You are performing Extra Class in modelling. Really amazing your concrete panels and the wonderful oak tree which is broken through.
Your report is a must, give us more.....
Many thanks and good luck for the further assembly.
Servus and Ahoi
René
AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
