I am pleased to announce 2 new ship models - the ferry MV Earl Granville and the small buoy tender THV Alert. Both models are in 1:250 scale.
The THV Alert is a small buoy tender and rapid intervention vessel operated by Trinity House. She is based in Harwich and used to maintain aids to navigation and also assist in shipping emergencies in the English Channel and the south of the North Sea. The model comes on 2 sheets of A4 card and is about 16cm long when assembled.
The ferry Earl Granville was operated by the Sally line between Sweden and Finland - and then Sealink between Portsmouth and the Channel Islands. The model is the second of 3 unpublished models designed by Nils-Peter Jaechel and has been digitised and published by Paper Shipwright with full permission. The model is available as a (paid for) PDF download or a printed model. The standard model shows the Earl Granville in late Sealink colours (all white hull) - it is also available to special order in the original Viking/Sally Line red hull/white upper-works colour scheme and the earlier Sealink dark blue hull/white upper-works colour scheme. Contact me if you are interested in either of these versions.
