Hi YY DAD, very nice build in outstanding tempo. Roundings on your Wulf are awesome!
-
The spinner got assembled.
Building steps are similar to those of cowling.
Skin parts were glued together and shaped to have a round cone shape. And then frame parts were inserted. -

Dear Yu san,
It's a great honor to get your feedback. I was so impressed by your works of Bf-109F and Spitfire on Halinski web-site a couple of years ago. Since then, yours work became a golden standard to me. Whenever I have problems, I study remarkable finishes on your models and imagine over and over again how you did. That's one of the reason I started Halinski WWII air fighter building. Now you may guess why I am using blue background for photos. I've tried my best but still I could not reach quality yet. I wish I could achieve a bit more before I finish last 20 fighters.
I hope you will give me sharpest feedback. I really appreciate your inspiration.
Sincerely,
YY DAD

Dear YYDAD-san,
Its also great honor for me to receive an almost undue amount of
complements from you one of talented modelers. You are too humble. With only a couple of build your works have already reached to excellent level. After finishing 20 fighters your works will surely reach to a diamond standard. Even now your works stimulate me to make greater efforts.
Its really nice to meet you here.
Kindest regards,
Yu

I started fuel tank assembly....

and this is really clean work. These leaf-like parts are not so simple to adjust but if adjusted properly, you get a great shape.
Keep up this good work! And please, when you finally add images for the gallery, make them bigger

Hi, Rutz
Thank you very much for your feedback. I still need more practice to make it right. It has been problematic. And I put bigger photos from Phase 3-2. I hope they are big enough.

Hi Stephan,
Thank you very much for your kind feedback.
Personally, I really like Halinski models. Due to lack of my experience of other brand models, I may not tell that Halinski models are easier or harder that other models. But Halinski model parts fit very well. I might say it has tight fit. If no error is involved, everything is enjoyable. With errors, whole balances would be messed up easily. Please give it shot. Halinski models would be easier to you.
Best regards,
YY DAD

Dalibor,
How are you? Here is what I did.
Front wheels and a rear wheel follow the assembly instruction. Circle parts were cut with a circle cutter and they are glued together. I inserted 1mm thick straight wires to centers of front wheels and then rotate them in a drilling machine while I was shaping wheels with sand paper.
A rear wheel is not big enough to use the same method with front wheels. I ground it slowly with hand rotating.Thank you.

I added propellers. While I was building them, I tried to twist propellers like real onee. But they are not very satisfactory yet.
-
Hi YY DAD,
thank you for explanation. I'll try that on my Hurricane. Great build so far.
It's always pleasure to see your pictures. And don't worry, your propeller
looks great! -
After finishing a few minor parts on main wings, I did canopy molding. I usually make plastic canopies by myself instead of buying ones. Commercial canopies are good but their selectiion is very limited. I could not get what I wanted when I wanted. So I started molding thin plastic film on a canopy shape part with heat.
Here are my canopy molding steps
1) First I connected canopy parts.
2) I filled canopy parts inside with epoxy and then put a wooden handle before curing epoxy. I left if for hardening for a half day. A piece of thin PVC film was prepared and heated with a heat gun. When the film got soften, I pressed the mold and shaped the film.
3) The finished canopy mold is shonw at the right bottom corner. I made two copies of a canopy this time. The one at the right top corner is cut and the other at the left top is as it is right after molding.
4) I installed front canopy
5) & 6 ) other views. -
Canopy building is now done.

Congratulations on your great work!!!
At the first page, just edit the title adding [fertig] which means "finished" then administrator will move your report to "abgeschlossene Bauberichte".

Very nice and clean work - my favourite part is the rounded cowling. But i think the MG´s in the wings are still missing?
