Terms Of Use

  1. Forum Rules

    1. 1. Politeness

At the other end of the keybard sits a human being and not a machine, so politeness and respectful cooperation are self-evident.
    2. 2. Bashing, flaming and trolling (verbal attacks, insulting comments, destructive provocation)

These negative excesses of the online world are not desired here, because we want to create a pleasant atmosphere for discussion. Immature, vulgar, racist and other verbal lapses won't be tolerated and may lead to a warning or exclusion of the offending user. In particular, we also do not tolerate disparaging or provocative statements about other forums or their members.
    3. 3. The search function

Before opening a thread on the same question, please use the integrated search function of the forum.
    4. 4. Language

KARTONBAU.de is primarily a German forum. If possible, please write your contributions in German, so that as many members as possible can understand you. If you don't speak German, you may also write your posts in English. All other languages are only understood by a handful of members, so we would like to ask you to translate these posts into German by using a translator (e.g.: DeepL, Google Translate).

In order to understand each other, one should stick to the elementary grammatical conventions. This includes capitalization, punctuation, paragraphs and complete sentences. Mutilated comments are illegible and do not please the eye or the reader. This is especially important if you have to use a translator. Furthermore, the search only works reliably with correct spelling.

    5. 5. Posts and headlines

In order to start a conversation with other users, it is advisable to use meaningful titles and to chosse the subforum that fits the topic. Simultaneous posting in several subforums (crossposting) is not helpful and unwanted.
    6. 6. The PM-function (Conversations)

Private matters should remain private and not be discussed publicly in the forum. In case of misunderstandings, problems or questions you can contact the team. The publishing of private messages is prohibited.
    7. 7. Administration and moderation

The team tries to ensure a pleasant atmosphere in the forum. If you have any questions and/or problems you can contact them. For this you can use our contact form. All decisions of the team are final.
    8. 8. Signatures, banners and advertising

This forum is ad-free and non-commercial. This does not apply to personal statements of non-commercial members. For commercial members there is a mutual cooperation ("Partnerschaftsverlag" meaning "publishing house partner"). There is no mutual compensation.
    9. 9. Editing by the team

The forum is a platform for the free exchange of opinions and it is subject to the German legal system. Therefore, violations of laws, especially copyright and criminal law, are not permitted. This includes in particular the display of National Socialist symbols on models and model building sheets. Building models of Weapons, both Guns and other types, in a scale of 1:1 to 1:4 is prohibited in our forum. Such models must therefore be built to a scale of at least 1:5 or smaller. The scale must be included in the thread name.
In cases of legal violations, the team reserves the right to edit and delete such content without prior notice in order to protect the forum. The user affected will be informed about this in a timely manner.
    10. 10. Forum atmosphere and sanctions

We would like to have a friendly cooperation at KARTONBAU.de, for this reasion we will warn repeated negative offenders by private message (PM). If these persions continue to attract negative attention, cloud the pleasant forum climate and/or receive complaints from other members, we will have to take harder measures and block these users accordingly. We are aware that this is a drastic step, but in weighing up the options we decide in favour of peaceful coexsistence and a forum atmosphere acceptable to everyone.
    11. 11. Introduction after registration

To avoid fake registrations, every new member must introduce himself or herwith a meaningful text in the subforum "Who am I" after registration. After this introduction, the user is automatically assigned to another user group and can use most of the forum functions. +++ ATTENTION! +++ If the new member does not introduce him- or herself, he/she cannot use many functions of the forum! Furthermore, some few areas like the download area are only usable after a certain number of contributions.
    12. 12. Transfer of usage rights

The copyright and usage rights for the posted topics and contributions, as far as they are copyrightable, remain with the user. However, the User grants KARTONBAU.de the right to permanently display the topic or contribution on its web pages upon posting of a topic or contribution. Furthermore, KARTONBAU.de has the right to delete, edit, move or close all topics and contributions.

The rights mentioned in point 12 remain valid even if the forum account is terminated.
