Liebe Mitglieder von KARTONBAU.de,
es stehen kurzfristig einige entscheidende Neuerungen für uns an.
Es geht um ein komplettes Update unserer Boardsoftware.
Da ein stabiler Betrieb Grundvoraussetzung für unser schönes Forum ist, haben wir uns nach langen und intensiven Vorbereitungen zu diesem Schritt entschlossen.
Daraus resultierend wird die Oberfläche unseres Forums nach dem Update komplett anders aussehen.
Allerdings wird es auch viele neue Funktionen geben, die uns allen das tägliche Forenleben erleichtern werden.
Dazu gehört u.a., dass man nun endlich Bilder in den laufenden Text einfügen kann, mehrere Zitate auf einmal erstellen kann, u.v.m.
Der Fahrplan dazu sieht folgendermassen aus:
Am Samstagmorgen, den 25.06.2011 werde ich unser altes Forum abschalten, damit es zum Zeitpunkt der Datenübernahme zu keinen Schreibzugriffen mehr kommen kann.
Dann beginne ich mit der Datenübernahme aus unserem alten System in die neue Software. Das wird den kompletten Samstag in Anspruch nehmen.
Am Sonntag, den 26.06.2011, werden alle nötigen Anpassungen vorgenommen. Das wird den kompletten Sonntag dauern, so daß KARTONBAU.de am Montag morgen wieder online ist und im neuen Glanz erstrahlt.
Dann sollte soweit wieder alles laufen und Ihr könnt Eure Bauberichte und Threads normal weiterführen.
Auch Eure Anmeldedaten ändern sich nicht.
Allerdings können wir bei der Größe unseres Forums unmöglich alles an einem Wochenende schaffen. Darum werden folgende Funktionen erst im Laufe der Zeit wieder funktionieren:
Bildergalerie (muss von uns komplett neu aufgebaut werden)
Downloaddatenbank (muss von uns komplett neu aufgebaut werden)
Indexdatenbank (muss von uns komplett neu aufgebaut werden)
Zweisprachigkeit (muss von uns komplett neu übersetzt werden)
Die neue Boardsoftware ist sehr benutzerfreundlich aufgebaut und leicht zu bedienen. Es gibt auch ein sehr gutes und bebildertes Hilfesystem, das eigentlich keine Fragen offen lässt.
Trotzdem werde ich noch ein kleines "Beginner-Tutorial" als PDF erstellen, in welchem die grundlegenden Funktionen erklärt werden.
Für alle kleinen Startprobleme und Fragen haben wir eine Hilfe-Adresse eingerichtet. Bitte notiert euch diese, weil wir euch damit auch beim Anmelden helfen können.

Dear Members of KARTONBAU.de
On a short term we will have several important reforms ahead.
The main issue is a complete update of our board software.
The stable operation has the highest priority for our nice forum therefore we decided to make this progress after intensive preparations.
As a result the interface will have a complete different look after the update.
Certainly there are several new functions for the easier daily life in the forum.
Among other new features it is now possible to set pictures within the written text; several citations can be compiled; etc.
Our Timetable is as following:
Saturday Morning June 26th, 2011 I will close our old forum to avoid writing during the data transfer process.
After that I will start to transfer all data from our old system to the new software. This will take the whole Saturday.
On Sunday June 27th, 2011 all necessary adjustments will be done in order to have KARTONBAU.de restarted on Monday June 28th, 2011 with a new brightness.
Finally everything should run smoothly and you might continue your reports and threads as normal.
Also your Login data remains the same.
Although and in view of the size of our forum we have still a punch list and therefore following functions will be refreshed in the near future.

The new software is very user friendly and easy to handle.
There exists also a good pictured help system which leaves no question open.
Although I will prepare a tiny Beginners-Tutorial with a description of the basic functions.
