Some progress has been made:
- The propellor axels (brass wire)
- The rudders (I re-enforced the rudders with brass wire for fitting in to the hull)
- The aft passengerdeck (railing, benches)
- etc.No real problems encountered so far, although building paper models is much harder than it looks..... (any way, for me that is)

Hi All,
Moving on to the details. I made some of the benches for the aft passengerdeck, but still a lot to go. Also I decided to make the handrailings from brass eyebolts and wire. It's an advantage having a lot of leftovers from other models...

Hi Thomas,
Yes, this is really my first try on a paper model. But i'm not new to modelling. I build a number of wooden models, such as the Titanic on the piicture. This is the 1:250 scale model from Amati, over 1 meter length.
I started the building of the Lilla Weneda for two reasons: a) I really like ferryboats ( Seebaderschiffe ), and b) the model was free 8) and worth a try. It's a very different material, wooden hulls can be corrected, sanded, painted, etc.Greetings,

Moving on to the funnel and the roof of the wheelhouse.
Creating the correct curves in the roof isn't that easy, but can be done -
Assembly of the wheelhouse.....
The hardest part of it is attaching the railings to the plating. -
And some more

Some pictures of the proces. Unfortunately I started making pictures after the hull was done.

Hi,
I'm new to this forum. Since my German isn't that great i will post in English. I started the building of the free model Lilla Weneda recently. I'm not that experienced in building paper models but wanna give it a try.
The model is great (I like ferries) and FREE! The only disappointment is the poor description of how to build it. Its a puzzle to do things right.
I will post some photos of the proces in short time.
