Hello Xander,
great details !
I am not sure, but in the third picture there is a part above the left chain of the Nabeabdeckung which contains four small rectangles. These might be backlights and then they should be red.

Hello Zaphod,
Thanks for the nice words, but I have to correct you on this. This is the Notek distance light. In fact the four lenses need to be green (still have to paint them), not red.
Alle GPM models I have build so far have an error here. They also show the four lenses in red.
As I rebuild the rear of the panzer from scratch, I had to do some research
Here you can find more details, in German:
http://www.kettenkrad.de/notekhi_d.htm
and in Englisch:
http://www.kettenkrad.de/notekhi_e.htm
In short:
Daylight and/or normal circumstances
- flap up
- 2 red lenses, one brake light and one normal red rearlight
- yellow light downwards on licence plate
During blackout
- flap down
- yellow light downwards on licence plate is automatically covered
- 4 green lights
From too far away, the human eye will see one green light
From the right distance for driving in a group, the human eye will see two green lights as the two on the left and right are closer than both groups spaced apart
From too close, the human eye will see all four lenses
So by counting the number of green spots visible, one knows to speed up or brake to keep closed but safe distance.
Regards,
Xander
