Forum Rules
-
1. Politeness
At the other end of the keyboard is a person, not a machine, so politeness and mutual respect go without saying. -
2. Bashing, flaming and trolling (excessive verbal attacks, offensive comments, and destructive provocation)
Such negative behaviour is not welcome here, as we wish to maintain a pleasant atmosphere for discussion. Immature, vulgar, racist or verbally abusive behaviour will not be tolerated, and the user may face a warning or even exclusion. In particular, we will not tolerate disparaging or provocative comments about other forums or their members. -
3. The search function
Before starting a new thread on the same topic, please use the forum’s built-in search function first. -
4. The language
KARTONBAU.de is primarily a German forum. Please write your posts in German wherever possible, so that as many members as possible can understand you. If you do not speak German, you may also write your posts in English. All other languages are understood by only a handful of members, so we would ask you to translate these posts into German using a translation tool (e.g. DeepL, Google Translate). -
6. The PM function (conversations)
Private matters should remain private and not be discussed publicly on the forum. If there are any misunderstandings, problems or questions, please contact the team. Posting private messages is prohibited. -
7. Administration and moderation
The team is committed to ensuring a pleasant atmosphere on the forum. If you have any questions or encounter any problems, please do not hesitate to contact them. You can use our contact form for this purpose. The team’s decision is final. -
8. Signatures, banners and advertising
This forum is free of advertising and non-commercial. This does not apply to personal comments made by non-commercial members. For commercial members, there is a partnership arrangement based on mutual cooperation. No remuneration is paid by either party. -
9. Editing by the team
The forum is a platform for the free exchange of opinions and is subject to German law. Consequently, violations of the law, in particular copyright law and criminal law, are not permitted. This specifically includes the depiction of Nazi symbols on models and model kits. The modelling of weapons, i.e. firearms and other types of weapons, on a scale of 1:1 to 1:4 is not permitted on our forum. Such models must therefore be built on a scale of at least 1:5 or smaller. The scale must be stated in the thread title.
In cases of legal violations, the team reserves the right to edit and delete such posts without prior notice in order to protect the forum. The user concerned will be informed of this in a timely manner. -
10. Forum atmosphere and sanctions
At KARTONBAU.de, we aim to foster a friendly atmosphere; for this reason, we will issue warnings via private message (PM) to users who repeatedly cause disruption. If these individuals continue to cause disruption, spoil the pleasant atmosphere of the forum and/or if complaints are received from other members, we will have to take more stringent measures and ban these users accordingly. We are aware that this is a drastic step, but on balance we have decided in favour of peaceful coexistence and a forum atmosphere that is acceptable to everyone. -
11. Introduction following registration
To prevent fake registrations, every new member must introduce themselves with a meaningful text in the ‘Who am I’ forum after their first login. Following this introduction, the user is automatically assigned to a different user group and can then access most of the forum.+++ IMPORTANT! +++
If the new member does not introduce themselves, they will not be able to use many of the forum’s features! Furthermore, a few areas, such as the download section, are only accessible once a certain number of posts have been made. -
12. Transfer of rights of use
The copyright and right of use for the topics and posts uploaded, insofar as these are eligible for copyright protection, generally remain with the user. However, by uploading a topic or post, the user grants KARTONBAU.de the right to keep the topic or post permanently on its website. Furthermore, KARTONBAU.de has the right to delete, edit, move or close all topics and posts. -
13. Transfer of rights of use in the event of a member’s resignation
The rights of use referred to in point 12 shall remain in force even in the event of the forum account being terminated.
