ZIS-3 FreeDownload by Patero 1/18

Hello Kartonists,

As I have seen in Donwload Section was a link to Papermodelers.sk where Patero´s ZIS-3 Russian Anti Tank Canon in 1/16 available.

This kit is growing on my work-bench since January 2009 in re-scaled version 1/18 to fit into my Display Box /max lenght <40cm/.

To improve my skills I have choosed for "winter-washable-camo". Model is builded as non-coloured and penetrated with white-glue or cianoacryl-glue to be grinded where needed and airbrushed with aquarel colours ADEL. Washable camo done on Fixative coated parts with pre-shaded soft "white-milk" and painted with brush. Then more effects with brush.....as you normally know from me ;)

Enjoy

I have choosed the moment of very used /aged/ camo going down.

Well, muddy procedure is:

- all you need is flower-ground for interior flowers /for sure your Wife will help you as well as my did :D/ a little bit of build-glue /Bau-kleber fuer Ytong oder so was/ and Alu-film

- form the Alu - film. Put in the glue + ground to mix them. Then easily coat the tire with white glue and siply DRIVE IN

- fresh coated tire - white glue is still wet. When dried out, you can start with painting

- to paint is very important to use many different colour tones to brush with mixture of coloured chalks, to apply with dry-brush and paint little stones with different gray stones

Well, the weather outside was not the best one today to catch action pictures, but tried....

Forecast for next days speaks about temporary snowing, which gives a little hope :]

Hi Bernie,

I am very impressed of your free download model of the ZIS-3. @) It looks sooo realistic, with the fine dirt on the wheels. =D> A very, very fine work! :super:
