RE: Angraf, Ty-45 steam locomotive

Hi~
I've made some progress. :)
Near finishing of the boiler portion, and its several pipes and rods on the surface itself...and the boiler was installed on the base frame.
I don't know the exact name of each part, then can't explain the detailed processes of my work.... :(

They are the part of brake system which connect to the cab.

Hi J. K.,

very well done up to now!

"Fenders" isn't the correct term. I would call them step plates along the boiler. But that isn't the specific term, too.

Best regards

=D>Outstanding, the weathering is a art from unto itself. I am so impressed by the work I have seen on this most excellent paper modeling forum. I only speak English, but everyone post so many fine photo's until it is easy to follow along and get the idea of what is being done. Will keep watching, I have my first kit yet to be delivered, but seeing the outstanding build thread here has encouraged me to give a Train Engine, a try.

I use commercially selling PVC rods for modeling work.
They sell many kind of rods according to diameters or shape of cut-surfaces.
In my experience, PVC rods are well glued with super-glue, colored with enamel paints and easily cut with knife than metalic wires.
But for angling or circling it, it must be heated. Clean and detailed manipulation is not easy.

Regards.

Hello Seo
Very realistic coloring. This must be a masterpiece. May I ask you a short question?
How did you make those bolts' head. All of them are same size and symetrically.
Awesome work. !! =D>

Hi~ Kooklit

Thanks for your praise. :)

The bolts...It's a top secret...ha...ha.. :D....It's a joke.

My younger brother works at a laboratory of a company as a fellow.
He routinely use some kinds of LASER-cutter and I asked him to make several kinds of bolts accordong to its thickness(0.5 and 1 mm) and width(1, 2 , and 3 mm). He also has much interest in paper-modeling especially airplaines.
At first I had tried to make these bolts with a knife but it was not possible with my hands and eyes. :gaga:

Regards.
