The GPM version is older and has a cartoon style. But I prefer its metallic effect.

I try to modify only the version of FLY (B-24 D) and keep GPM (B-24 J)as it is.
I made some changes and opened the cockpit door to the rear compartment. In reality, there is no door, only open access. The pedal has also been modified appropriately, and the left and right feet are made separately.

I've graffitied the dashboard with a pen to make it look better.

Hello Ferrarifan,
I built the GPM-Version a long time ago. Needs quite a bit of improvisation to say the least (some individual fuselage sections do not really fit together) and the red color has a marked tendency to fade away.
I think this is basically the same model with slight variations. Both were probably designed by T. Grzelczak.
I am looking forward to see how your combat box comes along.

Dear Zaphod,
As you said, the two drawings come from the same designer. Most of them are the same. That's why I built them at the same time. According to my plan, I won't make too many changes to them. Although these two models are very large, they do not contain much detail, which is totally different from halinski's design. -

As you can see, the manual drawing of GPM is full of cartoon color and cartoon style. -

I'm trying to modify the structure on a small scale. I originally designed two thicker skeletons to be back-to-back bonded. I modified it to be skin-to-skin bonded and then stuffed into the skeleton. -

Hello Ferrarifan,
yes, it is horrible, they were not even able to match the lines on the parts, the cutouts for the wheel do not match and the segments look as if they were made for different models.
I remember my B-24 -the GPM one- many segments of the fuselage needed a thorough reworking, didn´t fit at the front, but if you clip away then the next joint won´t fit too.
Fortunately the metal color is easy to correct.
I hope you get this done well, it is a toughy.

Dear Zaphod,This is the most terrible experience I have ever had. Thank you for your reminder. I hope I can finish it.

I've started trying to fill in the blanks with Tamiya's paint. The effect is acceptable.

Hello Ferrarifan
you did fine work in overcoming the obstacles. These models are not state of the art, even the print - different shades of olive here, parts not printed completely silver with the other model.
Keep it up !

Hello Zaphod,I have to admit that the design styles of these two models are very old, and I feel that they were 20 years ago or older. GPM manual drawing, more serious dimensional tolerance... But at present, I have no other choice for the liberators. I'll try to be patient and carry them on.

Hello Ferrarifan
yes, this is a design from the 1990s at least. Presently only Marly Modelarz seems to have the guts to bring new large planes from WW II, the Halifax and the B-17 to name the most prominent ones, a large Italian seaplane coming up next, but no LIberator announced.

Hello Zaphod,
I totally agree with your proposal. In fact, I have already bought these two models. I will make them in the future.

Hello Ferrarifan,
great idea ! The Halifax has some problems at the front sections of the fuselage (too short for the formers if I recall correct) but with a second kit you should be able to add the necessary bits in original color. I think there were not enough of the very small bombs too. Rainer59 has done a very good report about the Halifax (and the B-17).

In my operation in recent days, I found that errors are becoming more and more intolerable. I think I should stop the progress temporarily. At the same time, I was working on another model, Fairchild A-10 by Maly Modelarz
