Here it is finally, my finished EGV : "Frankfurt am Main". It was my second attempt: In 2014 I had been working on my first EGV for about six months when disaster stroke: one wrong movement of my hands damaged several parts of the innumerable railings of the rear deck house and my hope for a well-done model was gone. So I had to give up.
But in Januari 2024 I started my second EGV and this time I worked with more care yet than the first time (this model is so incredibly detailed and complex that many steps in the construction look more like a surgical operation than just paper modeling) and it all went surprisingly well. The building report by Lars W. was an invaluable contribution and it was one of the main reasons I did not give up.
I think I was able to complete the model with almost all the optional details as described in the building instructions; the beautiful lasercut set was of course also of great help.
It was by far the most difficult and challenging model I have ever built (and I am certainly not a pro!) but I am satisfied with the result.
