Problem.

I was planning to work on trusses, but I found I made a dumb mistake.

The alignment between truss and the wheels are OFF!

That is because I carelessly attached the road wheel to the frame during break assembly (applied a good amount of CA glue already..).
Yes, it’s too late.

Made a dummy part and checked the alignment.

Let me come back when truss part prep is done.
I think it may take some time.

Using the sound of it as the duty switching signal was good idea as the train schedule is supposed to be accurate/punctual. The signal of “it’s time to go home~!”

Not much progress today.

Made a combination lever at the right hand side.

Painted the truss, rocker arm yoke bracket, combination lever.

Not much progress today due to issues that I needed to manage. In the mean time, I could only made some paper pipes for next step

using plain copy paper.

Driver’s Booth outline fit check.

The original printout has some mismatches.

The height variation turns out to be 67±0.5 mm.

Reinforced using CA glue as it needs to provide solid support to the driver’s booth structure.

The steps at the both sides of driver’s booth

attached the fine mash to create the safety surface.

the height of the step top aligns well with the structures on the frame (88mm)

Compressed air tank prototyping.

It is found that some modifications are needed to avoid some interferences.

Based on the prototype, it is found that the interference between the tank and a post it not ignorable. So, updated the design creating cutout on the tank surface. Let me share the assembly process and the results.

will be sanded and prepared for painting process later.

Now,
some comments for members who will build Ty2.

As you can see, in the original cutout/plan, the distance between the tank bracket and the vertical post for the boiler support. So, I think it would be better to set the position of the bracket a bit away from the vertical posts to avoid the additional work.

Installed the rod that controls the engine steam valves. The back end is connected a bracket attached the side step. It may look strange but let’s see the result later.
