@ Michael-San,
I will try to live up to your expectation
@Norm-San,
Shakespapeare, after read the book suddenly I could paper rolls with small diameter! I recommend you to read it too
Ive messed up!
When I assembled cowling I wasnt aware silver printed parts, which is to be glued inside of cowling, is included and painted inside gray. After painted found out run out paint onto the cowling surface
After contemplating, solution what I came up was to paint the cowling red. So, painted it red using air brush.
Mistake wasnt not only this but positioning of engine cylinder so gun barrel doesnt go to fuselage through between cylindersI wont tell this to anybody so that many people will not be aware of my huge mistake 8)
Beside engine, assembled arrester hook.
-
hi yu-san,
i like your red cowling =D>! can't see a mistake on the picture...
best regards, michael -
Great pictures Yu........ I think the cowling looks good painted. :prost:
-
Agree with the other guys!!
This build is really great to follow. And the plane looks just brilliant!! -
Hi all
Thank you very much for your kind words
Today made canopy. Material used is OHP film because of it clearness that I prefer. Attached canopy frame to transperancy with double-faced adhesive tape.
Treatment of edges was difficult....

@OHI-san,
Recently I have to travel one to two weeks a month so miss paper modeling
I'm interested in airplane, ship, train and these days architecture
Thank you for your note@Martin-san,
Wait a minute!
Although I build prop but it too early to hop in and fly away because I haven't assembled wings and stabilizer yet -
-
pawell-san and Martin-san,
I am happy to know that you enjoyed figure I managed to make
My only regret is that I could not duplicate Martin-san's smiling face when reduced the pictureLower wing consists of only fourteen parts including skins and formers but it took long time to build only left side lower wing
Still cannot take off -
Although standing out joint line on fuselage still bugs me, I have managed to assembled lower wings....
-
Yu-San,
it is always amazing to see, that a businessman like you spend his spare time creating such wonderful models. I can feel with you, our hobby is a good balance for the day to get rid of always thinking on the problems which have not left when you arriving your workdesk the next morning.
As one of the perfect built details I want to mention the cowling. This alone is an awesome masterpiece. :meister:-San
I fear thinking about the four cowlings I have to do later this year for my "On Hold" B-17. I highly appreciate your help for this working step but a description here would be useful.
Yours,
René

I agree with all, your job at the Martin's face picture is a great work
Your airplane is looking awesome to me. In a few models (3) more, I want to build an airplane and your thread is a very good inspiration.
Thank you.
-
@Rene-san,
Thanks you for your kind comments
Yes, being buried in paper modeling is the way I handle stress
Your B-17 is super build. I believe you can build great cowlings but without question four cowlings are....
Good luck in your B-17 build@Norman-san, Iriera-san,
Ouch. I was intending to cast Martin-san as support player but now it is quite obvious he upstages the lead performer and emerges at center stage
I must change thread title from "Curtiss BF2C-1 Hawk" to "Martin BF2C-1 Sparrowhawk"Today made horizontal tail
Construction is simple
I'm looking for suitable material for wiring -
In Japan, today is middle of so called Golden Week Holiday. Im going to build paper model until May 6
Today built upper wing. Framer construction is simple and ailerons have no framer.
When I made struts of outside, just glued them without shaping it oval form. I was careless. After change of pace, made struts for inner side. This time, carefully shaped them like oval shape. Now remaining works are wiring and small parts such as air intake etc.
Glossy paper is difficult. I will never again try to make glossy paper kit

Hi there Yu-san,
well, what could I say to a really master of Cardmodel-building?
Every word would be stupid and unworth to speak out.
Let me try it like this: Guys like you are the reason, why I decided to join the "Paper-Army" of enthusiastics.Your models are masterpieces....all of them.
I read all of your reports and needed lots of tissues because of my wet eyes.
Shame on me, I haven´t allready try to build a model of my own.
But how could I do?
I spend all my time to follow all of these beautys built here in this forum.
I hope, there will be further thousands of modles build by you...or should I say Yu ?
I´d like to thank you in the name of all guys here in the forum, to show us, what is possible with card-modeling.
...so much for pathos.
Rock on, you inspire me so much and I will start my first model shortly.
Greetings and sorry for my english,
Stephan :meister: -

OlliP.S. at the moment I have no time to build, so all my projects are in hibernation...
But luckily every hibernation has an end -
Olli-san, Hagen-san thank you very much for your kind words.
Norm-san, it is beautifully painted paper that gives you impression of clean model. Actually it was very difficult to treat cut edges of this beautifully printed glossy paper. I see many unfavorable outcomes....
Anyway, thank you very much for your complimentTake care ol'buddy
-
@)WOW @) What else can I say?

A beautiful plane out of a masters hand! =D>
