Tank IS-3M/MM 1982-9/Draf Model/1:25

Hello!

I've started to build soviet tank from Maly Modelarz. Also I will use tracks and wheels from Draf Model laser cu parts. Also I want to make this MM IS-3 to IS-3M and that will require some modifications of turret and body.

Start as always from skeleton.

Turret.

Body.

Turret will be modified and covered with putty to make possible showe texture of the cast metal.

Making rear body part to look like IS-3M.

I had to cut off top of the rear part of the tank body. Now there is glued white card.

Some putty.

Scratcbuilding new parts of the rear.

Almost finished. I need just ro put some small parts on these parts.

Hallo Tomas, your tank is off to a fine start. Are you using something to treat the old MM paper?
best regards

Thanks. On some parts I use BCG (Brand Clear Glue) to form them. All turret was treated with Moment super glue. I am planning to paint this tank in Egypt colors, so also I will prime it after assembly.
