St. Peter Basilica; Schreiber Bogen; 1/400 (FERTIG)

Here I am again with another model. This time it will be the St. Peter Basilica.
The model is very big with 114cm long and it have more than 2000 pieces and in the end should the quite impressive.
Let’s see how I handle this model. For now I show to you the pile of paper and card (and I didn’t use all the card) that I will use for the building and the paper base glued to a wooden base.

wasqutschmeckt - Thank you for your comment and for your interest.

Thom - The base was easy :D . I give a woodworker a kind of (how I must say) blueprint in the natural size that I wanted, made of a big paper.

Diamantino

Thank You Kurt!

Finally I managed to get some time to post the last pictures of the construction, before I post the pictures the finished model.
You can see that I made some figures to give a little of life to this enormous model. I downloaded from the papershipright site and rescaled them.
The figures have a small piece of transparent plastic glued to their feet to stand up.

Ha! That's fun! Great idea! I want one of them to be me! Could you make it?

Here's a foto of me visiting the church in 2007. Unfortunately, my friends switched the camera modus to black and white without realizing. My trousers are light blue, the shirt is white with grey patterns!

Cheers!
