  • Hallo edikk,

schaue mal nach ob ich mehr Informationen von den Henkel Produkten bekomme in schriflicher Form zum Übertragen hier rein.

  • Eddik,

Since some days I also use "UHU flinke Flasche" and before it was "Wincoll Papier".

There is really nothing better than solvent based glues (but not for the kids). Water based glues are sucked too much into the card sheet, especially for larger glue surfaces.

Any CA glue is good for areas which are not easily accessable. But as Michael told, it sticks on your fingers rather than on the part. I made also the experience that after approx. 50% of the small amount (5 g), the cap is glued to the tip and than it's garbage.

On the other hand CA glues are necessary to stiffening edges of thinner paper.

  • Beim mir (mittlerweile):

    :]

  • I see, you like to use the basic glue - solvent-based multi-purpose glue. At me such glue it - "Moment Crystal".

Which I use glues - all this makes Henkel, only in Russia it is mark - "Moment".
But the basic glue at me it PVA, it is intended for a tree and a laminate, but a paper glues perfectly and without spots!
Super glue gel - it is good to use for glueing small details or a wire. It does not spread and on hands does not get!
Super glue I use for impregnation of details, that they would be firm.
Stick I use for glueing details of a skeleton on a paper to a cardboard.

  • i got me a bottle of uhu all pourpose twist and glue, tried it on a scrap piece and i have to admit it works quite well. is this the same glue most of you use? trying to steer away from mostly elmers white glue :( wrinkles parts badly. also for laminating large areas i use the 3M super 77 spray glue. also... found something that may get me away from useing posterboard for full parts sheets. 1mm thick illustration board, the cold pressed stuff, hope it works well.

  • I use that, in 1 mm and 2 mm thickness. Works very well. Tough job to cut though, especially the small slots. But clean and crisp.

  • try useing a razor saw with extra fine teeth so it doesn't shred the board and use super glue to harden the corners and to tack the model frame parts together, that way you can do final positioning once the frame is assembled then use what ever glue you normaly use to make glue fillets. i found that actualy makes a stronger frame than making glue tabs for the frame parts.
