Scratchbuilt Grahame-White Type VII, 1/48th Scale

Hello all,

Just a few pictures of my latest (and slowly progressing) project, a Grahame-White Type VII scratchbuilt in 1/48th scale. This is the nacelle, which I completed last night. The metal portions are aluminum duct repair tape over card. Rigging is straightened wire stripped from speaker cord and the structure is triple-thick brown cardstock. Comments and questions are welcome:

Hallo Zusammen,

Hi Eric,
as always, this looks fantastic. Yepp, I got a question: how did you make the copper fuel tank? Also some kind of tape?
Regards
Jan

Hi Eric,
Jan

Thanks, Jan.

The fuel tank is made from card coated with copper acrylic craft paint. I painted a large piece of it and then cut out the parts I needed. Not too shabby, if I say so myself.

Hi Eric,
you always keep a certain style in your work. Making tabletop-trestles, very neat!
