I have been commenting on the quality of architectural card model graphics more often in the last three or four builds. With all due respect to Richard Vykovsky for his beautiful, technically stunning buildings, the graphics on many models out of Eastern Europe seem, in my opinion, to appear flat and cold. I know that Eastern Europe has a wealth of subject material for their architectural models. Although the plane surfaces of the buildings appear stark and simplistic, the models add architectural detail interest and variety to the hobby.
Having just finished a model printed on an ink jet printer, I would like to get back to the basics. Where else to go than a little model printed in Germany and hand painted by Hubert Siegmund?
Perhaps in recharging the batteries with this little Wassermühle, memories will be kindled in those who may have built it many years ago.
