Dear Friends!

Lets start a new buildingreport of the a new model  ;)

What to do as a new model - it was easy ;) :

I've started it at 15.08.2015 - it's a day of the 85th anniversary of the a very important battle of Polish-Bolshevick's war 1920... The title aircraft took part in this war.

As first - I've made a "power capsule" :

.In the original plane there was an original solution: there was a star-engine, but liquid-cooled. And in front of the fuselage, behind the radiant blinds there was an radiator. Fuselage sheating behind engine was fully perforated to improve tha flow of cooling air.

I've tried to make maximum 3D surface of the model.

Please - enjoy! :)

Well... :S

Next segment - with pilot's cockpit.
For me elements from the cardboard were too flat...

I've made it on my way:

I think that now is much better.

Pilot's chair now:

Must made seatbelts...

Hello Mariusz. Good to hear from you again! :)

This is a nice and interesting choice of a, seemingly demanding, paper model-Kit.

It happens that i do have this one in my stack too, so i am looking forward to your building report.
Would you be so kind as to point out any difficulties and glitches occuring in the process, if there are any, would you? This could be vital Information for me and those who intent to build this rare aircraft-model, because i am not aware of a previously and successfully finished build.

Smooth running and best regards to you!
Bernhard.

Projection on the segment front frame prevents cockpit equipment from slip into covering... So I have to cut it out and put back after that procedure.

Warning!: the vertical stabiliser is too high on the fuselage connection - you have to cut out a wedge of 1,5 mm.

Now I have to come back in the front of the fuselage to fix some small elements...

I've decided to strenghten weak wings supporting girders with steel wire.
It is... bicycle spoke.

Inside wings I've mounted additional sleeves to insert those girders.

And finally: bad error in the printing of chessboard sign in the lower wing.

But it's easy to repair!

It's time for next update.
I've made 95 copper wire mesh for rigging. ;( ;)
Next , in accordance with previously adopted technology,I've painted model with colourless varnish ( airbrush, HUMBROL - satin, can). As a result I've accomplished .. deep matt. It didn't help re-paint with more diluted varnisch, or another satin-HUMBROL-from the jar...
Whats wrong...?
At this point I've gave up...In my mind there's high risk to damage model with further attempts to repair varnishing into "satin"...
Well..Pictures:

After first fitting I've realised, that upper wing is unnaturally too high - bars between wings and fuselage are too long. After analysing pictures and plans of the aircraft I've came to the conclusion: bars between wings should be 4,86 cm long ( in cardboard they are 5,37 cm long...).Bars between fuselage and upper wing should be approx.2 cm long - but try it again and again...
I had to tear off those bars and shortened them...
To master the nerves ( calm down, calm down...) I've made undercarriage bars ( with rigging), Warning: middle bar sould be shortened approx. 2 mm...

And finally:

Hello Mariusz,

they made a very annoying mistake with the bars. I would hate to remove and shorten them.

Glad you found this out befor the upper wing had been fixed !

Your patience was rewarded, good job!
I'm currently assembling another WAK plane (the Spanish Fury) and I'm also having problems finding the fixing points in the fuselage (as well as other minor design bugs)
In the Fury the fixing points have been so lightly marked that you need to inspect the model very carefuly to find and mark them .

Regards.
