S.M. Wohnhulk Oldenburg, Gremir, 1:250 (skaliert)

Hallo zusammen!

Vorbild:
Linienschiff (Panzerkorvette, Kasemattschiff) "Oldenburg"
Baubeginn auf Werft Herbst 83
Stapelauf 20.XII.84
Fertigstellung 1885
Wasserverdrängung 5200 t
Maschinenleistung 3900 Ps
2 Schrauben
Schnelligkeit 12 Sm
Länge 76 m
Breite 18 m
Tiefgang 6,4 m
Gesammtkopfstärke 389
Bewaffnung
6 - 24 L/30 in einer Kasematte
2 - 24 L/30 in offenem Brustwehrturm
2 - 8,7 L/24
6 - 5,0 S L/40
7 - 0,8 MG
4 T.R.
(nach B.Weyer: "Taschenbuch der Deutschen Kriegsflotte", 1. Jahrgang, 1900)

Modell:

;)

Thanks for the cudos, Peter!

...but there's nothing special about the similarity because the photo actually is a fake! I've simply photoshoped a model shot into the historic postcard.
In fact, the model is a what-if model. Though the imperial german navy had to accomodation hulks converted from casemate ironclads those were different ships. On the other hand, the Oldenburg is the only available kit of a casemate ship, so I decided to tweak history a bit and converted her (in real life, she ended up as a target ship).

Well it fooled me!! 8).. Thanks for explaining it for me.. It probably would have helped if I had actually taken the time to read the post, instead of just going by the photos..

Cheers..
