rigging(Takelage) for a paper ship

I'm doing HMV Bismarck 1:250 at the moment.
Can someone explain me the technique of making a rigging.
How do you make the threads tight? How do you prevent your rigging from sagging.
How do you clamp a thread to the paper. And in the end, paper is rather soft material! It's unbelievable how people can make such a nice rigging.
