Request: Il2M3 WAK & Answer

Hi all,
is there a chance someone has Sturmovik from any of above publishers? Would it be possible to send here some sample scans or shots from the "inside" of these kits? I've only found the cover pages on kartonwork.pl, but i'm really curious about how the parts are done since i'm seriously thinking about buying them.

Thanks alot in advance.

RE: Request: Il2M3 WAK & Answer

Hallo pawell,

I have heard that the WAK is extremely detailled. Slawomir Wojcik is speaking very highly about the model.

Take a look at:

http://www.kartonmodellbau.com/Neuheiten…005_s01il-2.htm

(unfortunately in German, but the quality and number of details is compared to Halinski ! A lot of bombs and rockets to be selected from)

But please, do continue you build of the GPM-model, it looks absolutely exciting !!!!!!!!!!!

RE: Request: Il2M3 WAK & Answer

hi zaphod,
thanks for the link, i don't mind the text in german, because i can read german without major problems, but i prefer to write in english.

i will definitelly finish the GPM one, although i'm progressing very very slowly now - i've never been a quick builder and now i'm quite busy at work, so i guess i'll need about one more month to finish. the lack of time is also a reason i didn't update the construction report, but i promise i'll do it as soon as possible.

the thing is, i fell in love with this controversial airplane when i was searching the web for some pictures and so on - i've read alot about it and it fascinates me - it looks like it was the best plane and the worst plane in wwii at the same time. :) you can read about a squadron of il-2s destroying dozens of german panzer units in several minutes, but on the other hand you can find info about 8:1 statistical chance for pilot to survive a combat flight - and then you learn that for one KIA/MIA pilot, 7 gunners were killed. now you see what i mean by controversial? :)

so i'm thinking about building at least one more sturmovik because i found out that there's several models i can choose from - plus, i've read somewhere that halinski is about to publish their own model. that's why i'm trying to gather some info.

wow, that's a long text, thanks for patience & time to everyone who will read it :)

Sturmovik by "Answer"

Would it be possible to send here some sample scans or shots from the "inside" of the ANSWER- kit?

I'am a little bit disappointet about the WAK-Kit. The camourflash is strange coloured and the apearance is "brand new"; not used as shown on the cover pic.

Although are some Details on the upper side of the wings poor printed.
