Papier-Portraits

Hello Friends,

Here is a small project I have been working on. The goal is to use one single sheet of paper. Using nearly any photo editor (the easy to use, free, Photoscape suggested by Hadu sometime ago works fine) reduce a photo to black and white. Then, cut out the black and you are left with a nice effect. I choose to mount mine on colored paper (the favorite colors of the subjects) but many treatments and "matting" possibilities exist.

The next post, I will show one from start to finish.

Kind Regards,

Cris

Edit: I do not know why there is a double post...

Hi Chris!

Now that's a really good and creative idea. Mind if I might borrow it!? :)

Cheers, Tom

Hello Friends,

Here is a step by step picture. I used thin strips of foam on the back to add relief against the colored paper. Finally, the four brothers and sisters are complete!

@Tom: I am glad you like them and hope you will share your work here.

Best Regards,

Cris
