I am sure you have already visited the "Armchair general" site at this url:

http://rkkaww2.armchairgeneral.com/galle…rucks/ZIS_5.htm

There you will find a drawing of the engine:

http://rkkaww2.armchairgeneral.com/galle…/ZIS_5V_bp2.jpg

There is also this article in MK Magazine (Babelfish link):

http://babelfish.altavista.com/babelfish…le%2fzis_5v.htm

With a perspective drawing of the engine:

http://mkmagazin.almanacwhf.ru/venicle/zis_5v_5.gif

You can download a whole set of drawings and photos from the article:

http://mkmagazin.almanacwhf.ru/venicle/draw/zis_5v.rar

While I am at it, you may find these paint examples useful:

http://www.o5m6.de/zis_5.html

In addition, what I find very interesting are the various fuel-truck conversions of the ZIS-5:

http://rkkaww2.armchairgeneral.com/galle…refuel.htm#ZIS5

With a painted version here:

http://www.o5m6.de/zis-5_bz.html

They would go so well together with various other models of Russian origin from the era, including aircraft:

Attached below you will find the engine, from the drawing above, plus the perspective view of it. The last image is scaled as close as I could get it to 1/10.

Finally, I've got to recommend the Orlik kit of the ZIS-5. Even if you are a serious scratchbuilder, you would have such a lot of help with details, etc. See, for example:

http://www.model-shop24.com/product_info…S-5---1-25.html

Best regards, and good luck!

Dankbar für die Gelegenheit auf Englisch schreiben zu dürfen, kann aber Antworten problemlos auf Deutsch lesen.
