Hallo Michi,

Best free download jeep I have seen

I downloaded the two first, the Jeep, and the halftrack, since those two were the only ones in a format I could decode with present software (or else I'm doing something wrong). They are very good, both for their scale (1:100), and compared to any free download of comparable subjects.

The Jeep in any case will go through the transformation process of getting scaled into 1:87 (from 1:100; so nice to scale UP instead of DOWN for a change). Will try print it on olive drab paper, and just add some more black or dark grey to the tyres, plus add a little colour to a few details (although I'm not sure that will be needed; since most things military were painted olive drab in any case).

White stenciling will be a problem, of course. Will have to think about that. Perhaps it is time to try out those magic sheets you can buy whereby you can make your own decals in an inkjet printer.

More to come, eventually (probably very much eventually...).

Meanwhile, here's what my scaled and rearranged print sheet for the jeep in 1:87 looks like. It is nice to be able to fit in the instructions as well! (The original, in 1:100, had two copies to the A4 sheet instead, which is also nice for spares; but I like my version even better...) And I notice now that there aren't even any white stenciling - three cheers; this will be a test for printing on olive drab coloured paper!

I managed to get the halftrack in 1:87 scale into a single A4 as well, with some careful shifting of the parts. No instructions provided, unfortunately. I'm beginning to think this Russian site isn't quite legitimate, but have no proof. The designer is Japanese, which disturbs me on a Russian site. What's your opinion, René?

Meanwhile, anybody wants to try this particular scale, just give me a PN. Original are in 300 dpi, 1.7 MB for the Jeep and 2 MB for the halftrack. Both in pdf format.

Hi Leif,

there are really rare and good models on this site. The wmf-files can be opened with Corel-Draw for example, but be carefull! Sometimes it will be easyer to draw by yourself, because the models are not the easiest, and i found some really unnessecary parts.
Gruß aus Würzburg

Ralf

Lieber eine Stunde vor dem Modell meditiert, als gar nichts getan!!:D

@Clipper
da gibt es keine Bauanleitungen!
Aber gerade für die erfahrenen Klebemaxe in diesem Forum dürften die Bausätze keine Problem darstellen.
