Update on this model, the wings went on reasonably well, but I took the liberty to glue the wing root parts on to the top of the wing with thin paper strips so no chance of misalignment there, and then the flaps yesterday and stabilizers today. Some touch-up paint for the edges, control surfaces yet to do, but getting closer on this one

One last progress pic for this Modelik kit with a new set of home-latheturned wheels. It is fun to work on the lathe and so I like to make wheels this way...lots of touch-up to do and gear not completed yet, but gives a look at how the plane stands on the gear.

Added wingtips, and my attempt to add tread to the main gear tires

Well, nice build so far - the grey colour fits the aircraft better than the very "poppy" camouflage .
I´m wondering about the parts 45d in front of the engine. Will you leave them away so that the engine will be visible better? -
Thanks Zec, I was thinking since added the rocker covers and some detail that can put the cowling cover back on in the hinged up position seen in some photos of this aircraft, maybe a small ladder too. Also may have to add some exhaust pipes from the cylinders, because it is rather visable and seems blank without them. We'll see

After some weeks delay here is some progress on the La-5, not perfect, but coming along ok

Greetings to you Wilfried! Yes the beauty of a flying design is attractive to my eye as are the sailing ships..:)

Looking good, Glen. I think folk here would also be interested in seeing the James Tuft too.
