Micro Models Vatican City at 200% [FERTIG]

Hi All,

Started building the MicroModels Vatican City last weekend. Decided that the model was a bit too small for me to handle, so printed it out on 65 lb (176 gsm) paper at 200%. Still small. The artwork at 200% has a lot to be desired and need a lot of glue and adjustment to fit more or less properly.

Won't make many close ups since the model has a lot to be desired, but still it is fun to build.

Only 2 sheets left to cut and glue together to finish it off. May try to add some landscaping.

Regards,
Fred

Hi Fred,

What a great project! Part of the charm of the Micromodels (to me) is their dodgy artwork. It goes perfectly with my dodgy construction :)

Looking forward to seeing the completion!

Best Regards,

Cris

Thanks, Cris.

Managed to get a few more buildings finished yesterday and hope to do some more today. I now have a lot of respect for people who build the Micromodels at the original size.

Regards,

Fred

Hi All,

Finally managed to finish this little model last night.

Added a cube to the first 2 photos to show the scale better.

Fun, but I think I'll build a bit bigger for a while.

Ein wunderschönes, toll gebautes Modell, Fred!

It's a very beautiful, fantastic-built model, Fred!

Hi All,

Just a photo to show the scale between the Vatican City model and the Sagrada Familia.
