    Thank you for your kind words.
    I was hooked on making airplane card models for about two years. During two years I have made 25 airplanes.
    Now my interest shifted to ships.


    Reading your complement I can't stop posting more pictures.

    Some are ready made and some are made by myself.
    Canopy for Bronco, I used OHP film. Not vacuform but heat press.
    First, make mold from wood then heat press canopy deviding several pieces.

    I was crazy in those 2 years. My wife first complaied a lot, then gave up to stop me making card model.
    I always had stiff shoulders those days. Now paced down.
    I am not a professional card modeler of course.
    My job requires traveling world frequently.
    End of last year I visited Bad Schusenrid ( I forgot correct spell of the city), Germany. On weekend I visited Ulm and bought card model of Ulm Minster published by Schreiber-Bogen at there.
    These couple of years I have been associating with German people on business and found out they are decent people. That's why I joind this forum!

    I like your models. Your are a specialist in "filigran"-technics and you must have eagle eyes and calm hands. This model is my favorite. The cockpit is absolutely fantastic.

    I do not remember if your pictures inspired me to buy this kit as well. Anyway I got the CD on Monday this week. The instructions are printed but I need new ink cartridges for the parts. I will use normal 160g paper which I want to spray coat later on the completed model.


    I think it is worth to mention that Dr. Emil Zarkov is the father of the design.


    Can you show us pictures of the wooden molds for the canopy ? I suggest you divided the canopy into 3 pieces according to the templates shown on my pic below.

    Yes. I agree with you. Emil Zarkov is one of genius.
    I have been patiently waiting his new release of camouflage version of Bronco for long time. Just recently he released A4F. It's seem to be nicely designed. But, painting scheme is not my preference....


    When I made Bronco, I used glossy paper for printing picture. Surface is coated by glossy material. Although it is thicker than ordinary card, it lacks hardness. Then I came up with the idea to use double skin. First, cut out ordinary card cutting it a little bit smaller than outer skin. After assembled fuselage, wing, vertical fin, horizontal stabilizer respectively, I glued this glossy paper on it. I think it is not a wise way.


    The most front is Bronco's mold in attached picture.
    Many burnt deposit you see there is trace of struggling to form it.
    I cut OHP film in proper size and wrapped around the mold then hold it with gloved hand and apply heat putting it a little bit above cookstove's flame.
    (I think to make fine mold and form canopy by means of vacuform must be better though I have never tried)
    One of my drawback is that I am not patient (Now cahanged). I could not spend a lot of time for model making when I made Bronco.
    So I took up fastest way. Make mold from balsa wood. Easy to cut and file. But, it has drawback. It is soft. Consequently, there are many dent and hump on its surface.
    If I use, polyvinyl chroride sheet, dent and hump of surface reflect on the sheet. So, I used OHP(Over Head Projecter) film. It hard to form. But, it does not reflect inequality of mold surface.
    That's why I had to devide canopy into several sections.


    It has past already two years and I do not remember how I devided it. Then checked it. I found out your guess is correct. I devided it into 6 sections.
