// PowerTom: Well, I'm expecting the second child... Most probably, I will not be able to have time for paper modeling for a while...

Changed my mind.
I have been thinking a square base.
But it seems like round base is bettern than square.

stained a round wood panel with wood stain and applied clear finish (once)

Mounted small guns and added some details

following is the stand...
I don't know the name of the sturcture that supports the ship during the construction... Let me call it 'stand' for now.
One thing I would like to tell you is that I don't know how it is built.
It may not correct because I don't have enough information about it and even don't know the name of it.
Your kind advice will be highly appreciated.
Used wood strip and painted using wood stain.

for the obal wood base,
multiple coats are being applied.
slow and boring process... 8o

I cannot be sure how many of you are familiar with C/C++ ...
But... let me write down the code anyway...

/*
start
|
+- > spray -> dry -> sand -+
|--------------------------|
+----------------- no - Like it?
---------------------------|
--------------------------yes
---------------------------|
---------------------------v
-----------------------complete
*/

void __stdcall PrepareWoodBase()
{
----...
----
----// entering main loop
----while(1)
----{
--------spray();
--------dry(); // at least 4 hours
--------sand(); // using 400, 800 or 1000 grit
--------if( like_it )
------------break;
----}
----...
----// completed
}

I'll show you the result soon.

Hello Owen,

When I visited Jeongyop’s home page I was amazed by his excellent works but thought he is exception. Now I must change the recognition of myself. All Korean people must be great native paper modeler.
I am sure your high skill will not be dented devoting diaper changing and milk warming for a while.

It is a little bit early but congratulations on your great build, unborn baby and Korean teams win over Japan in Olympic base ball game

Now it's time to add 'ground'

Wrapped the wood base using aluminum foil.
I'll make 'ground' using plaster.
You can see the 'test ground' at the back. -.-

I could not take much picture because the plaster is drying very fast.

When it is completed dried, I'll apply colors.
