GreMir Models P-38H Lightning

Hi,
This will be a very fast construction report but in reality it took me four and half months worth of weekends.
The only change from the original design that I made are the shafts for the landing gear. I just didn't trust the glue to hold the weight of the plane.
Ok, here it goes....

Photos #14 and #15 show the the fix required to build this connection.
I cut off strips of paper on both sides to align tops and cover the bulkhead in the wheel well.

Engine nacelles are placed on only temporary. The best way is to complte them both, and install them at the same as tail to allow for adjustments.

Last photo in this batch shows how I solved the problem of attaching undercarriage inside the wheel wells. A little dab of white glue to keep the small cylinder in place while I set the correct angle (a little to great of an angle in my case...) and the CA glue to set it permanently. Then all you have to do is slide the main leg into the socket.

I used True Detail resin wheels for my plane - just don't trust myself with power tools :rotwerd:
