[Fertig] AH, Nr 2/2003, P-39N Airacobra

Greetings to all German colleagues!
After Mercedes L3000 has decided to collect P-39N Airacobra.
It not the first model which here is shown, and I think not last:). I think it will be interesting to look at assembly of one model by various people. So, we shall start.

Grüße an alle deutschen Kollegen!
Also los gehts!

RE: AH, Nr 2/2003, P-39N Airacobra

Assembly of air-frame. Very conveniently and all rises on the places.
Has decided to add from itself a machine-gun section.

Very nice work Eddikk. I'm sure it must be very difficult to scratch build and modify the kit to have machine guns, but so far they look great. It would be very neat if you somehow hinged the machine gun bay doors to open and close. :D I wish you good luck building the rest of the model.

Weiterhin viel Erfolg.

I shall necessarily make opening doors. And the size of machine guns I could be mistaken, as has not found detailed circuits, and made of that material that has found. And on these pictures :)

Hallo edikk,

Very nice aircobra! =D> =D>
I like the detail, especially the MG's. Have you made them by hand or using computer and modelling software?

And one more remark. I've heard that "Answer" has released some updates for AH Aircobra. It seems to me, that there're those MGs with doors and even full-engine is included.
Try searching google, because I don't know the exact link about that addon for your superb Aircobra.

Oh, and are these addons in www.konradus.com forum from Answer or made from scratch?

Thats all. Good luck! ;)

Hallo edikk,

Hi Mindaugas and thank!

All made by hands since there it is not a lot of details.
About "Answer" I too heard, but itself it is more interesting to make.:)
Addition at a forum (www.konradus.com) is made already on ready materials, like magazine Kartonowka.
I have decided machine guns to alter, they have turned out too big.

PS. At the Russian forum people from Lithuania communicate, therefore come to us!

Dear friends,

I contacted my fellow from Lithuania who has that P-39 and addons and he told me, that he went nine hell stages to get that addon.

Edikk: it was said, that Bestia (that Lithuanian fellow) scanned and sent you the scans of that addon. If our moderators allow to publish this here, it would be nice that you put here those scanned addons.

So Bestia saw this work: http://www.konradus.com/forum/read.php?f…411#reply_54936 and decided to buy those addons. He bought some kind of vessel and SIG cannon in "Answer" e-shop. These addons come only together with these magazines! So "Answer" took his money from credit-card and then said that they don't deliver products abroad. So then he litigated with those polish guys and at last he found one friend journalist of Lithuanian magazine "Lietuvos Rytas" who lived in Warsaw, who took those addons and brought to Lithuania.

So Bestia said, that it will be very hard to get these addons for german fellows.
So if Edikk don't publish those addons here I will try to get them from Bestia. Offcourse first of all our admins must allow us to do this.

Thats all. Good luck! ;)
--

Hi all!
I received from Bestia these scans. But I want to notice, that I used them only as a material for studying, and in these model scans did not use. I warn, that as these scans I have received in the private order, I shall not send somebody them. I'm sorry, hope you of me forgive. :)
And I shall be glad, if you will help me with a material for a gun compartment.
Hallo Zusammen,

Silently we move ahead forward, collecting model and simultaneously I study assembly avia.
Assembly of the case. Here have gone not convergence of details.

All converges not bad. But since I in avia am not strong, it has turned out not so well, seams are visible. But the skeleton of all design is thought over certainly well, here will tell nothing.

Hi all!
I continue the long-term construction. The following stage - wings. The air-frame glued UHU, since it does not jar on a paper, so the construction will not be braided. The construction of a framework of a wing strong, and pleases it.

Hallo Ihr Alle,

I excised radiator enclosures and have thrown out, and instead of them have inserted a grid.

Wing in gathering. A wing-skin to a air-frame glued UHU, and junctions already PVA. At glueing a wing-skin there were minor problems with docking wing-skin to each other, but all this is reperable. I pasted niches of the chassis already after the heel of a wing-skin to a air-frame has pasted.

Hello Edikk,

I'am surprised that only me found your plane WoWoW =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>.

Well and fine built of a very nice plane. I have the kit on my watchlist too. Your model can be used from other members for guidance.

Please stay and show your further models here.

Since my first model here in the Forum I prefer solely wooden machined wheels made on my own lathe. But your wheels made of cardboard are as good as the original tires.

Congratulation again for your "Roll Out" and puting the Airacobra into operation.
