Fairey Battle in small scale

After wait to re-work on E2C Hawkeye, I doing a 1st model in WFAM series (World Famous Aircraft Museum) Fairey Battle in 1/72 scale and picture in this post is an unfold job in Rhino...almost parts can arrange in only A4 paper. 1/72 is looking good for me and fit in my shelf but I dont know modeler will like this scale or not. Anybody can advise? please...

Best Regards
Nobi

RE: Fairey Battle in small scale

Ummm, I think subject of this post is Fairey Battle in small scale  so back to subject first...a minute after I post a thread, some modeler email me about how hard of 1/72 model to be assemble and advantage of bigger scale. so i enlarge Fairey Battle to 1/48 scale and compare with old 1/72, result is below

so what do u think?

Hi Nobi,

while 1:72 scale is not too uncommon, 1:48 - or to be more precise - 1:50 is fairly widespread for planes.

So, if you would make the scale 1:50, it would nicely fit in with other models.

Hi, Nobi,

from my point of view 1:72 scale is totally unusable for card models.

I build only models in 1:33 scale or scale up high quality 1:50 models.

Hi, Nobi,

why not thinking on a scaling module similar as from GreMir where you can select scales from 1:1 (!!!) to 1:1000 just by adjusting the setting cofiguration.

For me personally, I join Rutz's wish for 1/33.

Personally I'd opt for 1/48. There's already a lot of models in 1/48 and 1/50, and it's much easier to scale down a Model from 1/48 to 1/72 tha the other way.

...and of course: There's only one sensible scale at all, 1/250!

RE: Fairey Battle in small scale

I'm not update Fairey Battle for a long time because we have 60th aniversary celebration for our king majesty...celebration still not finish yet but I must go back to work...so I will post an update picture of my Fairey Battle...first picture is an unfold job what I decide to make 2 different scale in 1 kit, 1/72 and 1/48. Arrange all parts into 2 different paper size, A4 and Letter. Second picture is a testbuild picture, everything go very well and I use very small time to get that result. kit will available soon :P

hello Nobi

good work, as always, on your Fairey Battle

if I remember correctly, from the Battle bomber ,
the Fairey developed the carrier-fighter Fulmar

are your perahps considering to release also the Fulmar?
there is no other card model of the Fulmar,
and it will match well with your previous Sea Fury :)
