http://www.me109.info/display.php?a=e&fid=2999 - if you go to this picture of a BF109-T, you can see the indention in the fuselage on the bottom indicating the retractable landing gear. (The picture is safe, the angle allows the wing to hide the Swastika - although the rest of the pictures available on the site are not necessarily so).

Thanks for sharing these 2 nice, clean builds with us
-
The canopy looks very good! Good luck working the rest of the way without getting fingerprints on the 'glass'
-
Nice job. I didn't do nearly as well of a job when building it at the original scale
-
These models are coming together quickly and cleanly - good job!
I too don't like Halinski using the back cover of the kits for parts. I'd rather pay a bit more to have an extra page and be able to keep the 'folder' once I build the kit. Oh well, I guess if that's one of the biggest complaints about Halinski kits it can't be all bad.

Nice clean work on both cockpits and good warning about the placement of the 2 instrument panel pieces.
-
Wow - I studied everything for a while last night and couldn't come up with anything either. If I were to guess, I'd say they'd be either shoulder or lap padding and would have the white bits cut out and the belts fed through them. But that's only a guess based on the fact that the bits are on the thin former sheet like the belts themselves and aren't marked to be laminated like a mounting bracket would be. Plus the diagrams clearly show the belts mounting directly to the seat on the sides and there is a mounting bit on the back for the parts that feed through the seat.

Had the camera handy so I took a couple of pictures of the alternate coloring in case anybody was interested. (I hope you don't mind me posting this in your thread ).
-
If you scroll down in this thread (Note - there are swastika's on pic's in link - is it ok to post the link still I hope?), there's is a post from Model-Hobby that I'll copy here:
QuoteI am pleased to inform you that model kit is already available.
The orders are accepted now.
Plane is offered in to two color shades.
First, the historic naval color shade is based on all round the world known
AJ PRESS publisher.
Second, there are two full models in one set. One is in historic camouflage
and second is hypothetic painting made especially for our clients.Attention! Set with two planes is limited.
So I got the same outside book, but there are 2 complete models inside. One is the dark green / dark blue coloring that I'm assuming you have, and one is a dark grey / black coloring of the same camo scheme.
And here is the link to the 'Limited Edition' kit at Model-hobby.pl.
-
Thanks for including the discrepancies in the instructions / diagrams. I received this kit yesterday and there are a lot of parts, it'll be nice to be able to reference the diagrams directly without having to worry about incorrectly numbered parts.
I will say I got the 'Limited Edition' version, and it's a good deal as you get 2 complete models (except the former page which is easily copied on regular paper). I think I prefer the dark blue / green over the black / grey version - but they will both make nice models.
Your foot pedals look very good

i saw popalas answer too,and he is absolutely right.Exactly! I look forward to seeing what you share of either or both of these builds no matter what you decide!
And if nothing else comes from this post, I found Popola's forum so I can register and have another forum to keep up with -
Great job!

Cool - I look forward to watching your progress, as already said this is pretty ambitious but will be cool to watch

My third one will be in paper but that one from WHM (1:50).
When I was a wee lad in jr. high, my first paper model was the WHM F4. It's unfortunately long lost (along with every model I built as a kid). I really like the detailed 1/33 scale kits, but I think at some point I will have to pick up the WHM F4 and build it again.
Sennaend - I look forward to following this build. I also can't imagine cutting out every part for a model like you do - I'm sure I'd lose pieces before I get it complete. I also use white glue, so I often need drying time, so I use those downtimes for cutting the next assemblies. It's all about whatever works for you though

She's a real beauty - thanks for sharing and look forward to seeing your BF109
-
Very nice build!

She's a beaut! Thanks for sharing the build with us
-
Looks great - thanks for sharing!

I just saw your pictures of this build in rlwhitt's thread and I'm sorry to see such an immaculate build end up that way. I do hope you find the inspiration to repair / rebuild / continue - that cockpit was very nice looking
-
This is an excellent build - you have incredible consistency in all of those identical parts
-
Excellent job on this model so far!
-
Very nice clean build, thanks for sharing. I built 2 or 3 Phantoms out of paper in high school (my first card models), I may just have to pick this one up and build it out of nostalgia

A couple finished pictures to share - this is a free download from http://www.gremirmodels.com (it is also available as a printed kit from Modelik).

A partial build thread, and a few more finished pictures are available here.

I've been waiting for somebody to start cutting and gluing this model. I'll definitely be following this thread to see how it goes. This is a model I plan on building someday when I get my skill level up quite a bit.
Good luck! -
I know you posted on the other site that you are fighting with this model - but from these pictures, I'd say it's a fight you are winning!
It looks really good! -
Another person out here watching the build. I love seeing any of the Halinski kits being put together
-
Looking good! I must say I'm one that has little interest in this ship or class of ships in general - but I love seeing your modelling and design skills in action so I'm going to for sure follow this thread
