Hello my friend
Very long time I've not visited here. Just saw the springs which you mentioned in your e-mail are very impressive. If I know this before I finished my own springs your wife may loose more clips.Cheers

Hello my friend
I saw those laser parts were delivered in good condition. I'm waiting to see the white back engine comes up along. The laser parts are a little bit smaller than it should be. I did not compensate for the cutting width. I'll try in the next page. Hope it would be perfect in dimension. My own back engine is continuing in wheel axles and suspension assembly. I'll have a report soon.
Have a nice weekend , buddy

Hello January
Yes, that's a good idea. This would save much delivery time.

Hello My Friend
Another new build ? Your knife seems to be always sharp and shine. Never be covered by dust like mine.
Thanks for chose this subject. I am also a fan of Apollo13 movie. I'll look for my old DVD. See the movie sometimes for a break during the designing of Big Boy.
Cheers

Hello my friend
Wow again and again. The white mammoth is growing up in nicely. The instruction may catch up your build soon. Please do not be too hurry. Please go with your normal speed. I am not pushing you up. But I want to do the 'Back Engine' as soon as I can.
Cheers

Hi Michael

So coooool white giant. I've waited a long time to see your next progression. The wheels angle shifted version seems to be no problem to build. Very impressive.
Cheers
----kooklik---- -
Thanks for your tip. It's simple but a magic for me.

----kooklik---- -
Better than looking in 3D model. 90 degree wheels shifted is different looking from my own black one.
Michael how did you make those bolt heads ? I've ever cut but hand but i could not keep the knife to 90 degree. So I made a hexagon punch to solve this problem.

Hello niki68
I should see this tip before I made the my model's wheels. Perfect tips thanks for sharing. Keep on your beautiful building. Outstanding work !

Hi Michael
Wow ! looks very nice in different drive wheel angle. And some parts those do not appear in my model.Cheers

Hello Mav33
You are the master of building and weathering. The oil dirty around the wheels and chassis is so real.

Hi Michael
Nice tip for making the screw. It's better than using a piece of toothpick like mine.

Hello Robert
I am following your locomotive is growing up in nicely. The pattern on the running plate is so impressive. How did you make it ? It looks so realistic as much as all other parts on this massive detailing loco.

Hello Michael
Glad to see you back again. The model is growing up in clean white and beautiful as usual. I pay more attention on parts cutting as you do. The model is better in precision. Thanks for you advises.
Cheers

Hello Michael
Nice fitting on every part. Precision cutting makes the model be fine and beautiful. I am trying to pay more attention on cutting but still not fine as yours. Thanks for sharing.Cheers

Hello Michael
Thanks for those tips. I have nail files but have not thought to apply for paper model until I read your tips.
Your drive wheels are so clean. They look better than making by a rapid prototype making machine.Cheers
----kooklik---- -
Hello Michael
This is not only a test build. Your thread could be the assembly instruction too.

Hello Michael
The wheel goes in nicely. When I did the first one the surface (cone shape with holes) was not fit to the frame as well as yours. It seems no necessary to use putty to repair the gaps like mine. I'm waiting for the next wheel.
Great done !
----kooklik---- -
Perfect test build !! Simply clean and beautiful white tender.
This version has details those I added more than my own.
Thanks for more than 100 errors recovering. And this thread should be a good reference for the other builders when the kit is released to the market.
Now you seem to be ready for the engine. Tell me any time. I'll send the parts. But as I told you in Skype , the assembly instruction is not ready yet.Congratulation

----kooklik---- -
Wow ! I can't believe this. You seemed completely bring those parts from the 3D digital model to be the real one. The pipes are exactly straight like the model in computer.
Cheers

Sooo beautiful model. Your work inspires me to build a scifi model. Congratulation KrisR.

Hi Robert
Thank you for your clear explanations of valve making. Those will be useful for me to design Big Boy. Great tips !!
Cheers
----kooklik---- -
Hi Michael
What a fine accuracy you've put !. The parts are well fit as same as the 3D model in my computer. A truely helpful test build.
I'll resolve the latest errors today. Yesterday I was so exhausted from the Engine building on Sunday night.
Cheers

Nice legs. More beautiful when painted. Keep on great job.
----kooklik---- -
Hello Maxhelene
Your build is very fine and beautiful. I was following this thread for a while. Everytime I visit , every updated picture makes my jaw drops. Those valves and handles are so impressive jobs. Are they from the kit or you created by yourown.
Best Regards

Thank you for the tip.

Hello Michael
Thank you for glue explanation. I have a problem with solvent based glue. The thin thread is generated when i removed the glue tip from the bonding point. Any tip to solve ?Cheers

Hello Michael
Perfect building !! Fire Hose Box door locks and handles are so fine. What type of glue you used for 190 grams paper? Water based of solvent based glue? I met a wavy surface problem when I used water based type. But it was not a serious problem.Happy new year 2010
----kooklik---- -
Hi Michael
Every part is well fitting. I saw your all metal shaft tips were pressed and rounded like rivet's head. How did you make it ?
Have a nice weekend

Hello Michael
Awesome build. Thanks for your careful testing. Those are useful to the furthur design of engine too.

Amazing white Big Boy !! Everythings are so fine.
