Next up was what looked on the instructions like a box with inserts. I was trying to figure out where this was to go on the car, then realized it was a jig with formers for the curvature of the top part of the hood. Pretty smart jig. One side of the hood on one former, then turn the jig upside down and do the other hood side.
Just put the glue on the outside and inside hood parts, press together while glue is still wet. Place in jig and add clamps to keep it in place. Let it sit and dry for 1 hour and remove. It works great. Flip the jig over and do the other hood.
Still have to attached the completed hood sides to the main center hinge.
Have already noticed when dry fitting that I'm going to have to do some adjustments to the body panel on both sides to get a smooth match with the tan part of the hood. Will use the printed border from the die cut part sheet. This should make a perfect match with the part.
