i am starting the Otter/Natter, but changed the hull number to "536" and the name to White River. I also enlarged it to about 25 inches long (63.5 cm). I am going to modify what I can to make it look like my old ship.
"White River" / Passat / 1:150 (Umbau)

Update on USS White River Build
-
Continued efforts to make the White River. Had to add space on each side for the radio/commuications space, and a chart room on the top. The Otter/Natter had neither. Will have to make more changes as I go along.

Current progress on WR. Had to add the gun and director tubs on front. :prost:

Hi, Padre!
Nice one :D. No, seriously, if the original scale is supposed to be 1:250, and if your model is more than the double size of that, then it should be in the region of 1:125 or even 1:100. You can measure 40 mm (=10 m in reality) on the baseplate (e.g. center line) of the original model sheet and compare this to the same distance on your upscaled version. Voilà.

Then it is closest to 1:125 or 1:130....somewhere in between.

Hello, Padre!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you've put the 40mm twin guns the wrong way round. The barrels should be reaching through the slits in the shields and the ammunition racks were aft of the breach (the rectangular spaces in front of your guns' muzzles).

Papercaptain -
Nope, not for the WR which had a different mod. of 40 MM. The 40s on the WR were more open.
-
40mm on WR.

Thanks a lot, Padre, that picture proves it !
Would be helpful for my model too, if and when I'm at it.
Cheers :prost:

Finished the WR, only a few small modifications to do later.
