Hello builders
The following model of the Pilatus PC-6A represents the plane that served during the sixties in the Israeli Air Force.
Before entering into service in the IAF, the plane was operated by Turbomeca of France as a demonstration plane for their new turboprop engine the “Astazu”. While in the IAF, the plane remained in the Turbomeca livery and only the plane No. and the IAF symbol were added.
The model is based on the model designed by Mr. Walter Schweiger and published by IPMS Austria. However, due to the fact that Mr. Schweiger’s model is that of the B2-H2 version of the Pilatus and I wanted to build the A version, I had to make several modifications and changes mainly in the nose parts, the propeller and exhaust parts, the control panel and of course the windshield.
