New free model - St Agnes lighthouse

  • Fellow card modellers

I am pleased to announce the availability of a new (free!) lighthouse model from Paper Shipwright (http://www.papershipwright.co.uk)

St Agnes lighthouse was built on one of the Scilly Isles in 1680 and was used until 1911. Originally light came from a coal fire, but it was later converted to use oil. The lighthouse is still a major land and seamark, but is not open to the public. The tower is unique in the UK in having gun-ports for defensive cannons around the first floor level.

The model comes as a PDF file for you to print out and assemble - with 1 x A4 sheet of parts which should be printed on 160gsm card. Note to get the model you need to add it to your "cart", then go through the check-out process (no need to give any credit card details). You will then be sent a download link by email.

If you enjoy making the model, please consider buying one of the other lighthouse models available from Paper Shipwright - the design and constructions techniques of the St Agnes Lighthouse model are common to all the Paper Shipwright lighthouse models.
