Hello Friends,
One of the last models produced by Micromodels, LSIII is unique in that there were several other planned supplemental sets that were never completed before Micromodels closed. Thus, LSIII is only the facade of a major train station. You can read more about LSIII and all of the wonderful Micromodels at Bas Poolen's excellent World of Micromodels.
Even a cursory glance at the model shows that London's Victoria Station was probably used as the basis. After doing some research on the internet, I plan on texturing the existing model to more closely resemble Victoria Station and add some details and relief that this model is lacking. See more here and here.
I intend on scratch building the platforms and concourse building along with various scenery such as kiosks and ticket counters in order to make a full diorama. And of course lots of trains!
Kind Regards,
Cris
