I Cardmodels Kiev Open Cup 1-3/10/10

Hello, colleagues!

October 2-3, 2010. Kiev (Ukraine) had hosted the "I Cardboard Models
Kiev Open Cup".

It was the first time that such event take place in Ukraine. So the
Kiev Open Cup had generated enormous interest among the participants
and spectators! The exhibition had gathered a great deal of
professionals and amateurs - the visitors could see cardboard modelers
from Ukraine, Russia, Lithuania, Belarus, Moldova and Kazakhstan!
Furthermore the publishing house "Orel" had taken part in the
Kiev Cup with the personal exposition of own models!

Also during Kiev Cup days the participants and spectators had
opportunity to know rich assortment of goods of such trade leaders as
Freetime (Ukraine, Denis Ubozhenko), WMC (Lithuania, Denis Sinelnikov) and Cardboard Master (Russia, Paul Tokmakov).

All winners and runners had been awarded with cups, medals and
certificates. Besides the publishers "Orel",WMC, "Dom Bumagi"
and "Tri Krapki" had given their cardboard models away as
additional prizes. Thanks for the special prize from Polish publishers Fly Model and KW Model!

The latest important news.
The representatives of six countries have signed the Memorandum of Approval of the International Day of Cardboard Modelling! The Memorandum decides on the Day of Cardboard Modelling as the first weekend of October each year!!!

thank you very much fpr your pictures!

An impressive display of Russian pre-dreadnoughts and cruiserd (the Askold is incredible, what a beautiful ship !!) ! The Japanese ships (first picture of a finished Yubari I have seen) look great too.

And finally Dom Bumagis "Helena" looks always great, one of the best new models from the last years !
