Hawker Hurricane - AH

Hi,
I'd like to introduce you my newly built plane - Hawker Hurricane Mk I from AH. Here is the cover:

Detailed report from building it you can find here and on my private site - there is also much more photos.

All the "scratches" where made by myself - previously there was to much of them (in wrong places), but now is better. This model isn't too hard to do - as they wrote in instruction. Everything fitts very well, but I found serious colour differencies between wings and fuselage and also displaced colours by left side of fuselage (all this can be seen in my report).

Some pictures from building the plane and finished model:

wow =D>

I really like the weathering you made on the cardmodel! Can you briefly descibe it? I've built several plastic kits of aircrafts, just half year switched to card, but never dared to make such colour weatherings even on plastic.
I'd be gratefull for brief procedure to use it on my models ;)
Thanks,
Marko
Freundliche Grüsse / Best regards,
Marko

Hi Marky Mark,
most of the wheatering comes from the kit - I made only some near the landing gear or gun machines. About making "scratches" you can find something in my realtion (there also interesting notices of other peoples). Generally it was made with Humbrol metalizer number 11.

Absolutly amazing work TAD!! =D> =D> =D>

A very clean and acurate build and a wonderful finish!
I wish I could understand polish so I could get all the hints and tricks out of your building report.
For one thing I have to know: how did you make the black gunstains on the wings? I love the look of them and I have this modellkit here ready to start.

congratulations again, perfectly done TAD

Hi folks,
thank you very much.

Salchi - those guns streak (gunstains) were made with pencil 4B - very easy. This pencil is usefull for making many different types of stains, streaks and so on. Stains on the tyres were made with simply poster paints (more water make them more plain).

Unfortunattely language barrier doesn't let me participate in your forum as I wish to. So maybe at least those photos will be usefull.
