Hello,
One year, I had a particularly nice group of children in my Grade 6 classroom. I also had an assistant helper that year. As a special activity during the medieval unit, each child made a castle gatehouse model. I don't think I would have taken this on if I didn't have the help. There were 28 students in the class.
I drafted up the parts and had them photocopied onto light card at the school board central office. The kids really enjoyed the build and learned a lot about castle architecture. A legend was created on the model and the parts of interest were numbered.
Here is a model that survived that time so long ago. It's water stained and in poor shape, but it brings back a lot of nice memories. Maybe some of those kids will also remember and take up card modelling at some point in their lives.
