Etwas fuer Anfaenger

  • Hallo.

Hi. I would like some suggestions for beginner's models. My first model, not yet finished, is the JSC 1/400 Mikasa. I would like something in 1/250, detailed but not too difficult. Either civilian or naval, doesn't matter, although my favorite subjects are pre-Dreadnoughts.

    Vielen dank.

    Hi Chris,
I started with the Cerberus from David Hathaway's Paper Shipwright. It's a free download of David's site at
    http://www.papershipwright.freeserve.co.uk/

The model has great detail right off the bat, and if you want you can super it as much as you like. Messing up a part is no problem either - just print another sheet and no harm done.

    Check out my Cerberus here

    Cheers,

    Oliver

  • Hoi Chris,

The next one might be SMS Oldenburg by Pro-Model.
It can be built as waterline-model (which I prefer) or with underwatership.

Zr.Ms. Tijger is also a nice pre-dreadnought by Paper Shipwright

    They've got nice free downloads
