Hi All,
After the Mercedes Roadster I decided to take a bit of a break. Well, it's time to get back to some building. This model has been sitting on my desk for a while now, so yesterday picked up the knife and started again.
The model has 37 sheets, glossy on a heavy card stock from the 1980s. The artwork is great, all hand painted. Decided to copy the originals and increase the size to 1:325. (I'm basing this on information found here that the original model is 1:400)
If my math is correct, that should make the model about 82cm long x 36cm wide.
The sheets were printed on 65 lb (176 gsm) white digital cover a bit larger than A3 (12" x 19") on an Epson printer. Instructions are in Hungarian, so I'm basically working in the blind as the translators don't make much sense. (I really don't believe it is snowing as one of them keeps telling me when translating a section on basic instructions).
Started on the first section and almost immediately (too late) realized I made a big error. Forgot to cut our the main door section. Will have to be much more careful as the work progresses. Also realized that this model needs reinforcing with cardboard. So back to the office to print a new sheet last night and start again. (First building is the disaster.) The last 2 photos are of the finished first section.
