I just bought this MODELIK kit because I love tiny slim gauge steam locomotive. Until now I didnt even know this company name. According to Wikipedia Freudenstein was founded in 1891 by Julius Freudensteinuntil, until then, Freudenstein had worked for Orenstein & Koppel.
My preference of locomotive tends to be American and European. The reason is simple. I was born and raised in Yokohama where U.S. occupation force stationed when I was kid. At that time thanks to cheap Yen rate Japan was exporter of brass train model to the U.S.. Nearby my house there was well known manufacturer of model train rail with flexible plastic sleeper. They had shop too so I would drop in the shop after school and gaze at expensive brass made American locomotives. So, still now I love American and European train.
Today cut out thick paper parts for frame.
